I'm not versed at VM at all, but I would like to think that there is some kind of setting that you can manually designate what Port # to use, so I would do that - "Auto" will not always pickup the right port for the cutter.
#How do i send signmaster directly to cutter serial
I initially started with a direct serial to serial, then went to (a cheap keyspan I bought from eBay), and when the serial port finally quit on the cutter, I had to go to USB. S2 T Series vinyl cutters deliver the cutting precision of a flatbed while. Keyspan is definitely an option, but it is not the end all, be call of communication - neither is Tripp-lite. SignMaster BASIC (CUT) is for simple vinyl cutting and allows you to produce. Use Device Manager to check what port the cutter has be assigned. If you are intermittently plugging and unplugging the software, then there's a chance that the USB port you're using that the port that VM wants to send it are two different port numbers. It's free and the only thing it will cost you is time.ĭo you always keep your laptop plugged into the cutter? If so, then the laptop and cutting software should be able to hold on to the correct information. I know that you're using VM, but you could also try Sign Blazer Elements. Seems to be a lot of knowledge on these forums.
I just received my new order of vinyl Friday and now I am flustrated because I can't cut these shirts.Īny suggestions or help would be much apprecited. UGH!! I am at wits end - I do not do a lot of cutting anymore, but I make shirts to send with my clients when they are traveling.
#How do i send signmaster directly to cutter drivers
We have downloaded the drivers again hoping maybe it needed a refresh, still nothing. We have checked that parity to what we read suggested on another post it is set just what that one suggested. I know it has to be something simple we are missing. Now, software detects the usb being there but when you go to send it sticks in the waiting to send mode and never goes any further. So since my laptop does not have a serial port my husband went and bought me a serial to usb hub. We tried reassigning the usb port etc still nothing. I get ready to cut on Saturday and the same thing as prior times did not recognize the usb port could not detect it, so therefore could not send design to cutter. I successful cut designs about this time last week no issue. LaserPoint II purchaed in 2015 - Vinylmaster software - I have had issues in the past where the laptop and the cutter would not communicate so I would have to change USB PORTS then it would work again. Support ticket has been placed but of course I need my cutter now. I did check the feed and found a few things but so far nothing on that level has helped. I will apologize first if I missed a solution for this.
